A site comparison needs answers to three questions: what ground is there, which land is being bought, and what development is permitted. Each requires a different source.
Elevation, soils, and water features describe physical conditions. Parcel and ownership records identify the land under consideration. Zoning maps and the governing text establish the rules to test against a proposed use. A layer that answers one question cannot stand in for the others.
Use the source examples below to find the authority and geographic coverage relevant to a candidate site. Then check the boundary, date, units, and meaning of the fields before comparing results. The useful output is a supported site decision, not the number of available feeds.
