You're designing a warehouse, shop or industrial building. Width, eave height and bay spacing define a section, but the choice between a clear frame and interior columns also changes the usable floor.

Compare the same building with different column lines, then widen the enclosure. The section and plan stay coordinated: columns subdivide the transverse span, while frame spacing sets each longitudinal bay. These layouts describe geometry; they do not decide which frame a supplier can engineer.
