A Package Manager
Building teams repeatedly solve related problems: connections, assemblies, coordination details, and accessibility conditions. A package-manager analogy suggests a way to reuse components while tracking their versions and dependencies instead of recreating or copying them without context.
Reuse only helps when a component’s assumptions are visible. A wall assembly or detail may depend on climate, structure, code, materials, or installation conditions. The team needs to know what the component contains, where it has been used, and what must change for the current project.
A library can make proven work easier to find, but it cannot make a component universally suitable. Selection, adaptation, coordination, and project-specific review remain necessary.
