A plan marketplace could let architects share reusable starting points, adapt them, and keep a visible history of the forks. Usage and construction experience might help distinguish a plan that has been built from one that exists only as a compelling drawing.

Attribution and licensing are central: a designer adapting a plan should be able to identify its source and terms. The original plan is a starting point, while responsibility for adapting it to a site, code, and project conditions must be clear. That liability boundary is one of the obstacles the marketplace would have to address.

Sharing can reduce repeated effort, but a plan’s performance elsewhere does not prove it fits a new project.
